Korean Style Short Ribs

Korean Style Ribs

Full of flavor, quick, easy, and everyone will clean their plates with this recipe.  Korean Short Ribs are a thin cut short rib cut from cross sections of the first 4 to 5 ribs. They have a delicious crust on the edges when cooked on a high heat.  This recipe will be your new go to!

Ingredients:

  • Korean Style Short Ribs (2 lbs)
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 TBS Sesame oil
  • 3 TBS Garlic minced
  • 1 Tsp Fresh or Powdered Ginger
  • 1 TBS Sriracha (optional)
  • Sesame seeds

Directions:  (We cooked on the Traeger(Smoker) for a little smoky flavor, but is also amazing on the Grill.  Decrease time on Grill to 3 min per side.)

  • Marinade:  Whisk together all ingredients except sesame seeds in bowl.  Add short ribs and let marinade in Refrigerator for 30 minutes to overnight.
  • Heat Smoker to 500 degrees.  Let smoke and preheat for 15 minutes.
  • When ready remove short ribs from marinade and place on grill grate.  Cook for 5 minutes each side.
  • Remove from grill and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Serve with sticky rice and a side of green beans. Or a fresh cucumber salad is also nice.  (Combine cucumbers with a little soy, rice vinegar, Plum Vinegar, and a dash of olive oil)

Give it a try and let me know what you think!
